For any church plant, there are a ton of logistics on your to-do list, ranging from facilities (where do you meet?) to 501(c) filings, to coming up with a logo. Below is a list of digital things to also remember!
- Website (this can be done quickly and cheaply via something basic like Wix or it can be feature-rich and integrate with your church management software. The challenge is that you will eventually need to go to the latter, so if you can build it that way upfront, that will save you expensive headaches down the road.
- Giving platform (these often come with a Church Management Software (for example, Subsplash or PlanningCenter)
- Church Management Software (such as PlanningCenter)
- Social media profiles (reserve as many as possible, even if you don't think you'll use them).
- Local profiles (Google Maps, Apple Maps, Facebook Local, etc) - make sure people know where to find you!
- Email platform (both something like Gmail for nonprofits for individual accounts or Mailchimp for mass communication)
- ProPresenter
- Church Streaming (such as Subsplash or Castr or even just YouTube or Facebook Live)
- Canva—Even with the free account, there are many good templates to help you develop professional, attractive slides and other graphics.
